Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Behold Beauty LLC (“Behold Beauty,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) governing your access to and use of the Behold Beauty mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By creating an account or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Services.

Description of Service

Behold Beauty is a beauty product discovery platform that enables users to:

Discover beauty and skincare products through community recommendations
Create and share product reviews and ratings
Build and share beauty routines
Create product lists and collections
Follow other users and engage with their content
Build a personalized skin profile for tailored recommendations

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 years old if you reside in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom) to use our Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet the applicable minimum age requirement.

If you are between the minimum age and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Services with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.

User Accounts

Account Creation

To access most features of our Services, you must create an account. You may register using an email address and password, or by signing in with Google. You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
Keep your account information up to date
Create only one account per person
Choose a username that does not infringe on the rights of others or violate these Terms

Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

Keep your password confidential and not share it with others
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account
Log out of your account at the end of each session on shared devices

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

Account Deactivation and Deletion

You may deactivate your account at any time through the Privacy & Security settings in the app. Deactivation hides your profile from other users, and you can reactivate by logging back in.

You may also request permanent account deletion. Upon requesting deletion, your account will be scheduled for removal with a 30-day grace period. During this period, you may cancel the deletion by logging back in. After 30 days, your account and associated data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

User Content

Your Content

Our Services allow you to create, post, share, and store content, including product reviews, ratings, beauty routines, comments, photos, product lists, and profile information (collectively, “User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content.

License Grant

By posting User Content on the Services, you grant Behold Beauty a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display such User Content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the Services. This license continues until you remove your User Content or delete your account, except where your content has been shared with others and they have not deleted it.

Content Representations

By posting User Content, you represent and warrant that:

You own or have the necessary rights and permissions to post the content
Your content does not infringe on the intellectual property or other rights of any third party
Your reviews reflect your honest and genuine experience with the products
Any images you upload are your own or you have permission to use them

Community Guidelines

To maintain a positive and trustworthy community, you agree to abide by the following guidelines when using our Services.

Content Standards

You agree not to post User Content that:

Is false, misleading, or intentionally deceptive
Contains fake reviews or undisclosed sponsored content
Infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
Is harassing, abusive, threatening, or intimidating toward other users
Contains hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics
Contains sexually explicit or violent material
Promotes self-harm or dangerous beauty practices
Contains spam, unsolicited advertising, or promotional content
Includes personal information of others without their consent
Impersonates another person, brand, or entity
Violates any applicable laws or regulations

Behavioral Standards

You agree not to:

Create multiple accounts to circumvent blocks, bans, or other restrictions
Use the Services to stalk, harass, or bully other users
Manipulate engagement metrics (e.g., fake upvotes, coordinated inauthentic behavior)
Solicit personal information from other users
Use the Services for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent

Prohibited Activities

In addition to the community guidelines above, you agree not to:

Use the Services for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, servers, or other users’ accounts
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services
Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or collect data from the Services without our written permission
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the Services
Circumvent any technological measures we use to protect the Services
Upload files that contain viruses, malware, or other harmful code
Collect, harvest, or aggregate user information without consent
Use the Services to send unsolicited communications

Content Moderation and Enforcement

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to review, monitor, and moderate User Content. We may take any of the following actions at our sole discretion and without prior notice:

Content removal: Remove or hide any User Content that we believe violates these Terms or our community guidelines.
Warnings: Issue warnings to users who violate our guidelines.
Suspension: Temporarily suspend accounts that repeatedly violate our guidelines.
Termination: Permanently ban accounts for severe or repeated violations.
Profile restrictions: Hide profiles or restrict account features as needed.

We are not responsible for any User Content posted by users of the Services. The views expressed in User Content are those of the individual users and do not represent the views of Behold Beauty.

Blocking and Reporting

You may block other users at any time. Blocked users cannot view your profile, follow you, or interact with your content. You may also report content or users that you believe violate these Terms or our community guidelines.

Intellectual Property

Our Intellectual Property

The Services and their original content (excluding User Content), features, functionality, design, logos, and branding are owned by Behold Beauty LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Services without our prior written consent.

Trademarks

“Behold Beauty” and our logo are trademarks of Behold Beauty LLC. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written permission. Product names, brand names, and logos referenced within the Services belong to their respective owners.

Copyright Infringement

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that any content on our Services infringes your copyright, please contact us at legal@beholdbeauty.com with the following information:

A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
The location (URL or description) of the infringing material on our Services

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

Product reviews, skincare routines, and recommendations on our Services are provided by users and reflect their personal experiences and opinions. We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy, safety, or effectiveness of any product, routine, or beauty advice shared on the platform.

Not Medical Advice

Content on our Services is for informational purposes only and should not be considered medical, dermatological, or professional advice. Always consult with a qualified healthcare provider or dermatologist before starting any new skincare regimen, especially if you have sensitive skin, allergies, or medical conditions.

Product Information

We strive to provide accurate product information (ingredients, descriptions, brand details) but cannot guarantee that all product data is complete, current, or error-free. Always refer to the product packaging and the manufacturer’s website for the most up-to-date information.

Service Availability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BEHOLD BEAUTY LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY, AND YOU MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Behold Beauty LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:

Your use of the Services
Your User Content
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any rights of another person or entity

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services at our sole discretion, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:

Violation of these Terms or our community guidelines
Conduct that we determine is harmful to other users, us, or third parties
Extended periods of inactivity
Requests by law enforcement or government agencies

Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.

Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute with us, you agree to first attempt to resolve it informally by contacting us at legal@beholdbeauty.com. We will try to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days. If we are unable to resolve the dispute informally, either party may pursue formal resolution as described below.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

Update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page
Provide notice through the app or by email for significant changes

Your continued use of the Services after the revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Services and delete your account.

General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Behold Beauty LLC regarding the Services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by us.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
